About the role

You write and commission the control software that keeps buildings and data centres running: HVAC, lighting, access control, fire safety and critical infrastructure brought together on a single management platform.

Projects range from commercial and industrial buildings to data halls where downtime is not an option, and you see them through from the first point list to a plant running in steady operation.

  • Integrate trades over open protocols: BACnet/IP and MS/TP, Modbus TCP and RTU, KNX, M-Bus.
  • Build operator interfaces, time schedules, alarm concepts and event logging.
  • Commission on site: point-to-point checks, loop tests, functional and acceptance tests.
  • Connect data centre infrastructure: cooling (chillers, CRAC/CRAH), UPS, generators and leak detection.
  • Analyse faults, optimise control strategies and reduce energy consumption.
  • Document programs, point lists, parameters and acceptance records.

Your profile

  • Completed training or degree in building automation, electrical engineering, C&I (MSR) or comparable.
  • Several years of experience programming building management or building automation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major platform, for example Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider, Beckhoff, WAGO or Saia.
  • Sound knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and KNX.
  • Confident reading of electrical and HVAC schematics and point lists.
  • Careful, team-oriented way of working and a confident manner with customers.
  • Good to fluent German, good English.
  • Project-related willingness to travel; driving licence class B.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data centre infrastructure (cooling, UPS, DCIM).
  • PLC programming knowledge (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal).
  • Experience with energy monitoring and efficiency analysis.
  • Understanding of IT networks, VLANs and network segmentation.

What we offer

  • Work in an internationally active, growing company with real perspective.
  • Flat hierarchies, short communication paths and a first-name culture.
  • Further training and development opportunities.
  • Attractive remuneration and additional benefits.
  • High-quality work clothing and modern equipment.
