Design Engineer / Systems Architect Automation (m/f/d)

You turn customer requirements into a complete machine and line concept — mechanics, robotics, control and safety technology working together.
You take technical leadership in interdisciplinary teams and accompany projects from concept through FAT/SAT into serial operation.
Your responsibilities
- Mechanical design and plant layouts in CAD (Siemens NX, SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor).
- System architecture for complex lines including robot integration (KUKA, ABB, FANUC).
- Define interfaces between mechanics, electrics, control and safety technology.
- Design conveyor systems, machining stations and robot cells.
- Technical calculation, quotations and technical leadership of project teams.
Your profile
- Degree in mechanical, automation or mechatronics engineering.
- 7+ years in design or systems architecture for production equipment.
- CE marking and Machinery Directive knowledge.
- Good German and English.
- Willingness to travel; driving licence class B.
Nice to have
- PLC basics (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal).
- Simulation and digital twin experience.
- Automotive body shop or assembly line projects.
