Electrical Technician / Automation Technician (m/f/d)

About the role

You are responsible for the electrical side of our automation projects: concept, planning, documentation, control cabinet design and commissioning.

You work closely with design, PLC programming and site teams on projects for automotive, machine building and data centre customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute to automation processes and develop automation concepts.
  • Support and plan the electrical engineering for machine and plant construction.
  • Create circuit and wiring diagrams, among others with EPLAN.
  • Design control cabinets, drives, sensors and safety circuits.
  • Commissioning on site.
  • Fault analysis, optimisation and maintenance of existing plants.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Close cooperation with internal and external project partners.

Your profile

  • Completed electrical training with further qualification as electrical technician, or a degree in electrical / automation engineering.
  • Several years of experience in control and automation technology.
  • High level of initiative, problem-solving skills and technical understanding.
  • Careful, team-oriented way of working.
  • Confident manner with customers.
  • Good to fluent German in speech and writing.
  • Project-related willingness to travel.
  • Driving licence class B.

Nice to have

  • Programming experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal.
  • Good English.
  • Experience with EPLAN, e.g. P8.
  • Knowledge of functional safety (e.g. EN 60204-1).
