Program, optimise and commission PLC controls for production plants — Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, HMI and on-site FAT/SAT.

About the role

You develop and adapt the control software that keeps production plants running and you take it into operation on site together with our electrical and robotics teams.

Projects range from a single station to complete production lines for automotive, machine building and data centre customers.

Your responsibilities

Program and adapt PLC controls (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal).
Further develop and optimise control systems for production plants.
Translate customer requirements into working automation solutions.
Carry out on-site commissioning (FAT/SAT).
Maintain programming interfaces between machines and systems.
Create HMI visualisations and support control and operating concepts.
Fault analysis, I/O tests, functional and safety checks.
Independent technical implementation in close cooperation with internal and external project partners.

Your profile

Completed training or degree in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable.
Several years of professional experience in PLC programming.
Experience developing control concepts.
Sound hands-on experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal.
High level of initiative, problem-solving skills and technical understanding.
Careful, team-oriented way of working and confident manner with customers.
Good to fluent German, good English.
Project-related willingness to travel; driving licence class B.

Nice to have

Experience with further PLC systems (e.g. Beckhoff / TwinCAT).
Experience with camera technologies (e.g. Keyence, Cognex).
Knowledge of safety PLC (TIA and S7 Safety).
Knowledge of Simotion and PCS 7.
